Fried chickpeas

Fried Chickpeas/Garbanzo beans

1 can of 15 oz Garbanzo beans

1/4 cup canola or peanut oil

Dried herbs, salt and pepper

Make sure to remove all the excess liquid by straining the garbanzo beans. Spread the beans in one layer on a plate to dry with a paper towel.

Coat a skillet with a high heat oil such as peanut or canola and bring to a low to medium flame.

When the pan is hot, add the beans. Cook until lightly brown, about 5 to 7 minutes stirring occasionally. When done, add the beans to a bowl. Toss in any dried herbs ( I used an Italian seasoning mix and some dill), salt and pepper or whatever seasoning you have on hand.

Let the beans cool for a few minutes and Enjoy!
